Board and Governance

Footprints is an Incorporated Association governed by a Board of Directors.

Tracey Davern, President

Tracey has been a member of the Board since January 2011 and was elected President in 2012.  Tracey is a commercial lawyer with more than 14 years experience and currently works in a major international law firm.  She also has extensive experience in, and understanding of government having worked for 5 years in senior legal, policy and governance roles for the Queensland Department of Community Safety.  Tracey and her family live in Teneriffe. Having spent her childhood in a small community Tracey believes in building strong local communities which support all residents.     

Debra Fallon, Vice President

Debra is an award winning local business owner with over 25 years experience. Debra has expertise in finance, commercial property management, networking, fundraising and community governance. Debra has been on the committee since 2007 and believes it is important to contribute to the local community in a meaningful way.

Martin Ford, Treasurer

Martin became a member of the Board in 2016 and was appointed Treasurer the same year. Martin is a qualified Chartered Accountant with over 16 years' experience in Australia, Europe and Asia and holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance) and is an official and registered Liquidator. Martin brings with him extensive experience across numerous sectors including financial institutions, corporate and public organisations. Martin and his wife, Yolanda, live in Teneriffe. Working with distressed businesses, Martin often sees the emotional stress faced by people and communities dealing with economic challenges. Martin was attracted to Footprints and its philosophy as a way of helping support and give back to the community.  

Samantha Bryce, Secretary

Samantha is a lawyer and has extensive experience both as a corporate counsel for a global agribusiness, property and banking law, and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.  Samantha has also worked with the Arts Law Centre of Queensland as a volunteer lawyer. A local to the New Farm area, Samantha has been a member of the board since February 2012 and has a keen interest in supporting the local community through her association with Footprints.

Julie O’Sullivan, Board Member

Julie is an Occupational Therapist with over 15 years of clinical experience, predominantly specialising in community mental health. Her current role is as an Advanced OT with a large public community mental health service. She has experience working in clinical, management, service development, supervision and professional leadership roles. Julie has been a member of the Footprints Board since 2009. She has a keen interest in the non-government sector and fostering collaborative and sustainable working relationships with non-government and public sector organisations. Julie has a passion for working in partnership with people and supporting their goals of independence, participation and community connection.  

Simon Vertullo, Board Member

Simon became a member of the Board in 2017 having seen over many years the support that Footprints was able to provide to people in need in the community . He is a Senior Finance executive and qualified as a Chartered Accountant, holds a Bachelor of Commerce and worked for many years in leadership roles at major accounting firms. Simon has worked in Australia, Asia and Europe. He has extensive experience with companies in the not for profit sector especially through finance roles in aged care and disability services. Simon and his family, live in New Farm.
