Non Clinical Support Services
Community based support provided by experienced outreach
staff may include:
• Health care – encouragement and support to self manage physical and mental health care, including medication and to attend medical appointments

• Financial Management – guidance with budgeting, shopping and overall financial management

• Vocational/Employment Support – guidance and assistance to source and access study or employment options

• Accommodation Support – guidance and assistance to source appropriate housing options

• Leisure/Recreation – support to access community recreational and leisure opportunities

Resident Recovery Program
The Program provides personalised, flexible and responsive support to people residing in boarding houses and hostels, enabling them to engage in their personal recovery journey and maintain a meaningful lifestyle of their choice.
Eligibility

To be eligible for the Program people must be over 18 years of age, have a moderate to severe mental illness and consent to participate in a recovery based support program to work towards achieving their individual recovery goals.

Referrals
Referrals will be prioritised for those people who:
• Are about to be discharged from inpatient care to a boarding house or hostel
• Are deemed to be at risk in such accommodation
• Have clinical case management support while residing in such accommodation
• Are referred by the RBWH Mental Health Service

Geographical Area Covered
The Program services the catchment area of the Royal Brisbane and Womens Hospital Mental Health Service.
